Have you ever had picture framing done? If so, then you know how expensive it can be. Often, these expensive frames come at the cost of unsustainable forestry. Many woods originating from sensitive ecosystems from countries thousands of miles away.
We are proud to offer pine, spruce, and hemlock frames from the forests of British Columbia. Some of the pine lumber we use is from beetle infected trees that would otherwise rot and go to waste in our forests. We have left our frames unfinished, forgoing any expensive or toxic chemical treatments. You can choose to paint these or let them simply age with time. Expect to see knots and all with these frames. All of this has allowed us to keep the price down as well as support one of British Columbia's most important industries.
